The Earthwood Ethos
Earthwood Builders is not your typical contractor. We are fundamentally different in our approach to building - beginning with project planning, our high level of quality workmanship and our approach to client relationships.
We have always been a building company with a conscience long before "green" was a buzzword. It is our intention and goal to use as many sustainable and renewable products, energy sources and building techniques as possible in every project. We maintain a large source library to assist clients and architects in making valuable decisions regarding sustainable material selections. We continually educate ourselves about new energy-efficient products and issues pertinent to conservation and sustainability. EPA certified to work on homes prior to 1978; our staff is knowledgeable, conscientious and competent when it comes to environmental safety and protection.
"The common law of business law of business prohibits paying a little and getting a lot – it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is appropriate to add something for the risk you run and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better." -John Ruskin
Our primary goal is to provide our clients with the highest value within a given budget. Quality and thoroughness are equally important, regardless of the budget or scope of the project. We will not cut corners to be the low bidder, as we strongly believe that true value is only achieved through quality, enduring work at a fair price. We are determined to provide true value to all our clients and to make them as comfortable as possible throughout the entire construction process.
